Even though it has been a few years since we last spoke in detail, I wanted to let you both know that I still use you as a benchmark in my mind of what good firms should be doing to place candidates. In my last role as head of HR for 2 companies I was inundated with firms wanting to do business in the mortgage industry staffing arena.
Poorly submitted resumes, mismatches for fit both technically and culturally, candidates that are barely at the threshold for what the hiring manager is looking at etc are all too common. I remember being a candidate with your firm as we prepped to meet with XXX Company in PA. On the back end of the process I did not understand the prepping, questioning and insurance that I was what your client was looking for (I did get 2nd place in the final interview)… but now I wish the firms I use took the time that both of you did to ensure they are only submitting just what I am looking for. Just thought I would pass it along and hopefully brighten your day!
